Filipino-American cellist Isabella Palacpac is a performer, recording artist, and teacher based in Connecticut and New York City. She is a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. She teaches in the NYC and Fairfield County area and provides lessons online to cellists of all ages throughout the U.S.
Isabella received her Bachelor’s degree in 2020 from The Juilliard School. Her primary teachers include Natasha Brofsky, Minhye Clara Kim, and Andre Emelianoff. Recently, she toured with the classical/pop/rock crossover trio TAKE3. As TAKE3’s cellist, her performance highlights across America include concerts with the Johnson City Symphony in Tennessee and with the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra in Colorado; a performance with a Sky Elements drone show in Sandusky, Ohio; and an appearance as the opener for Wilson Philipps at The Lancaster Festival. As a soloist and orchestral musician, Isabella has appeared on stages throughout America, China, Canada, Russia, and Switzerland. Locally, she has appeared as a soloist with orchestral ensembles such as the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, the American Chamber Orchestra, and the Eastern Connecticut Youth Symphony Orchestra. An avid musical theater pit musician, she has also played for productions by The Wilton Playshop, Curtain Call Inc., Okaeri Productions (NYC), Ridgefield Theater Barn, and the Brookfield Theater for the Arts. As a music educator, she has worked for programs such as The Cello Camp in Westport, CT, The Harmony Program, and The Nucleo Corona Music Project.
